Yay for pink lipsticks ♥! MAC's new Viva Glam Nicki Minaj lipstick hit stores last week (February 15th). If you know me, you'll know I love all things pink, so it's no surprise that I've already purchased this very cute lipstick. I personally like Nicki Minaj, the girl's damn crazy (refer to her Stupid Hoe MV) lol. She's funky with a quirky sense of style, and just so damn entertaining to watch! ^-^ I like her music, her tracks are very addicting. Anyways, onto a short review about this lipstick!
Viva Glam Nicki is a bright yellow based pink in a satin finish. The shade of pink is very pretty, girly, and, cute. I've also heard that the viva glam lipsticks are suppose to suit all skin tones, and I can see this lipstick working well across all skin tones. It's very pigmented, super opaque and applies evenly to the lips. The only negative I'd give this lipstick is that it's a satin finish. It's a personal thing though, I'm not a fan of satin finishes. Although a lot of people find Mac's satin finishes moisturizing, I find them quite drying on my lips. I've had bad experiences with satin lipsticks, one of them being the infamous Myth lipstick, which on me looked like a hot mess. Aside from the drying factor, if I exfoliate and majorly moisturize my lips before applying this lipstick, it's all good ^-^. Another big plus factor is that all proceeds from the Viva Glam lipsticks goes to MAC AIDS fund. How awesome is that?! Viva Glam Nicki is limited edition but will be available for a year. Retails for $17.50CDN/$14.50 U.S. If your looking for a nice pink to wear this spring/summer or your just a pink fiend like me, I'd recommend the Viva Glam Nicki (just make sure to moisturize your lips). You can look cute while supporting a great cause! Now that's what you call killing two birds with one stone ^-^.
